Farm-based workshops

The workshop will cover:

• Background to the new NVZ rules
• Planning of nitrogen use and the crop nitrogen requirement limit
• Storage of livestock manures
• Field application of both organic manures and manufactured fertilisers
• How compliance with the new NVZ rules will be checked
• Other available support and advice

Farm Walks at Demo Farm

Advisers familiar with your area will be available discuss all topics covered by Cross Compliance and to answer your questions.  Topics on which you may require clarification may include the rules relating to the new sheep and goat requirements, Nitrate Vulnerable Zones, manure storage, hedgerows, GAEC 12 – Land Not in Agricultural Production and record keeping for pesticides.
